The Titleist AP1 712 irons are constructed of a cast stainless steel body, with a concentrated tungsten sole weight, thin steel sole plate, and an advanced dual cavity multi-material design. It builds on the success and technology of the AP1 with a Tuned Feel Cavity Insert System, an elastomer/aluminum co-molded medallion in the cavity, specifically designed to improve feel and sound, as well as the face thickness being reduced to provide increased stability and feel. The short irons are traditional with a progressively reduced blade length and a beveled topline allows the irons to be more precise at address.
